Our Story

 It all started back in 1993, when I was working at a local restaurant in Mobile, AL. The restaurant had wings with only four sauces: mild, medium, hot, and three mild. After being at the restaurant for 3 years, I became tired of the same sauces, so one day I clocked in and went into the cooler and started grabbing different ingredients to come up with something that would change the taste of wings, at that restaurant forever. I only mixed 4 ingredients, that was tongue tantalizing… and it took the restaurant by storm! Then I decided I would try this sauce out on my co-workers, and they were amazed! So, I shook up more fried chicken wings using this sauce and gave them to some of our regular customers. When they tasted the wings with the new sauce, they all ramped and raved over the great taste and several customers asked, “what do you call this amazing sauce”? So, at that time I didn’t have a name. I called it Eric’s Mystery Mix being that my name is Eric. The customers thought it was a mystery because of the great taste. On that day, the Eric’s Mystery Mix was born!!! It caused the restaurant’s food sales to increase by 30%. People would come from all around to taste this sauce. I witnessed regular customers coming back twice a day during Football, Nascar, and Baseball seasons. Holidays were also great times at the restaurant with customers ordering 20, 50, and even 100-piece wings. Several months later, a customer told me about the Wing Bowl, a local competition that showcases the best wing sauce in the city.  So, I packed up my mystery mix and entered the competition.  Out of 25 teams there, many had their own sauces, The Eric’s Mystery Mix won 1st Place in the People’s Choice category. 

Recently Eric’s Mystery Mix was featured on the Food is Good YouTube show out of Tennessee. I have had the pleasure of selling Eric’s Mystery Mix at many local flea markets in Mobile, Pensacola, Gulfport, and Biloxi where it has sold-out every time. I went on to create more sauces such as: Eric’s Honey Mustard Sauce, Eric’s Hot Sauce, with more sauces coming soon!
